The Rajab and Siham Jubaili Foundation Launches an Annual Scholarship at LAU
Founder and Executive Chairman of Jubaili Agrotec Group Rajab Jubaili has signed a gift agreement with LAU on August 12, 2025, to launch the Rajab and Siham Jubaili Foundation Annual Designated Scholarship Grant.
The grant will benefit deserving students from Sidon and its surroundings in South Lebanon in need of financial support to pursue their undergraduate or graduate studies. It will be offered over and above the financial aid that they may receive from LAU, provided they maintain good academic standing until they graduate.
Present at the signing were LAU President Chaouki T. Abdallah, Vice President for Advancement Juhi “Ginger” Dagli, Chief of Staff Nour Hajjar, Senior Director of Development Lana Abou Teen, Head of Investments at the Jubaili Family Office Ralph El Sayah, as well as member of the Rajab and Siham Jubaili Foundation and part-time Instructor at LAU Ibrahim Jouhari.
Speaking about the foundation’s philanthropic activities in education, Mr. Jubaili expressed his faith in the potential of Lebanese youth. “With the right mentoring,” he said, “they can overcome any challenge and shape the future of our country.”
Thanking Mr. Jubaili for his generous support, President Abdallah underscored their shared vision and its alignment with LAU’s mission and principles. He was also happy to learn of Mr. Jubaili’s enthusiasm and support for Lebanese art, which opens new pathways for engagement with university friends and alumni abroad.
The Jubaili Agrotec Group started as a family enterprise in Sidon in 1944, supplying the agriculture sector with equipment and agrochemical products. Since then, the family’s 3rd generation helped it grow into a multinational company serving emerging markets, especially in West Africa, and was formally founded in Nigeria in 2002 as an agrochemical distribution entity and then expanded to East Africa, the Arab Gulf and Brazil.
