LAU’S LATEST REPORT TO CONTRIBUTORS HIGHLIGHTS $13 MILLION IN DONATIONS
The Lebanese American University’s (LAU) latest report on the support it received during Fiscal Year 2016 revealed that the university had raised an impressive $13 million through 921 donations during that time frame. The Contributors Report 2016, which covers the period from October 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016, highlights the immense impact of donations made to the institution.
Commenting on the outpouring of support to the university, LAU President Joseph G. Jabbra said, “We would not be where we are today without the remarkable devotion of our donors, and we are so grateful to them for their unwavering commitment to education and our students.”
These generous contributions from alumni, friends, businesses, NGOs, and government entities have enabled LAU to maintain critical student financial support, advance facilities and learning spaces, and ultimately allow the university to provide students with an unrivaled learning experience.
The report demonstrates this impact in detail, showcasing data and graphs as well as profiling graduates who benefitted from scholarships and financial aid, which for Fiscal Year 2016 rose to 3,663 recipients. This is an increase of nearly 10% from the previous fiscal year’s recipients of student financial support.
LAU’s Contributors Report is produced annually to recognize donors’ generosity and the difference it makes to the university and its students. It is produced by the university’s Office of Development, in coordination with several other departments, and is available at: https://giving.lau.edu.lb/lau-contributors-report.
