Senior Class Gift
The university’s Senior Class Gift Program launched in 2012, and involves planting class trees that allow graduating students to truly leave a mark on their university’s campuses. Through seniors’ small donations to participate in the Plant Your Class Tree Campaign — with proceeds going towards scholarship at LAU — the initiative not only further beautifies campus grounds, but plays an important role in students’ development by instilling the value of giving back.
Hundreds of graduating students participate each year, with an average participation rate of 30% among all those graduating. After six years, nearly 3,000 seniors have taken part, culminating in nearly $30,000 raised for financial aid and scholarships.
