Hardship Fund for Enrolled Students

Why We Launched this Fund

We created this Hardship Fund in response to the unexpected cancellation of the USAID Higher Education Scholarship (HES) grant. This left 195 high-achieving students without the vital housing, transportation, and living expense support needed to continue their education.

While LAU is committed to waiving their tuition in full, these former HES recipients remain at risk of dropping out unless their daily living needs are met. The fund aims to provide a bridge of support to ensure they can stay enrolled, succeed, and graduate.

195 students have been affected.

84% of them have a GPA higher than 3.0
