LAU is committed to providing an excellent education based on ability, not ability to pay. As such, the scholarship and financial aid programs -- which distributed a total of $26.2 million in aid during the 2016 fiscal year -- are a fundamental part of the university and so too are its efforts to secure funds for this worthy cause.
Without help from the university's alumni and friends, LAU would not be able to provide such substantial support to its needy students or have the diverse student body it enjoys today. Indeed, it is the generous support from benefactors that ensures that the university has the resources to provide scholarships and financial aid to students who need it most, which is growing each year. In fact, in the 2016 fiscal year, more than 3,600 LAU students received some form of scholarship, work/aid grant or loan, enabling the most talented students to enroll regardless of their financial circumstances.
With needy students growing each semester, the university encourages its supporters to donate towards scholarships, which are valuable ways for donors to make a distinctive contribution to LAU’s academic mission, transform the life of a student, and empower the university to attract the best and brightest students. If you want to provide better life opportunities to LAU students, please make a gift today.
- An endowed scholarship, bearing the donor’s name, can be created beginning at $50,000.
- An endowed scholarship that fully pays the tuition of a medical student on an annual basis can be established from $500,000.
