About
Fundraising
The Office of Development develops and maintains relationships between LAU and its key constituencies, including Board of Trustees and Board of International Advisors members, alumni, parents, students, friends, corporations, foundations, and other individuals and groups, to help them fulfill their charitable interests for the purpose of securing charitable gifts that would enable LAU to fully accomplish its mission.
The Office of Development is headquartered at the university’s Beirut campus at Irwin Hall and has bases at LAU’s Byblos campus as well as New York.
Prospect Research
Prospect Research plays an important role within the Office of Development and is comprised of three pillars: Prospect Identification, Prospect Research, and Prospect Management.
The main role of Prospect Research at LAU is to gather and manage a variety of information that the university’s fundraising officers can utilize to carry out their objectives and the development goals of the institution.
In addition to the prospect researcher’s primary duties of searching, monitoring, collecting, and analyzing relevant public knowledge about individual prospects, donors, companies, and organizations, s/he securely archives and retrieves historical records that provide context for LAU’s development initiatives.
