ELIE SAAB renewed its confidence in LAU and signed another four-year agreement to continue collaborating with LAU’s Fashion Degree Program. Held at ELIE SAAB premises, the small signing ceremony gathered fashion designer Elie Saab, LAU president Joseph G. Jabbra, dean of the School of Architecture and Design Elie Haddad, and assistant vice president for development Nassib N. Nasr, plus several others to share in the celebration.
The signing ceremony came a few months after the program successfully graduated its first cohort in a runway fashion show, enabling graduates to display their final project designs with the community.
“We look forward to many, many more years of collaboration with the talented Elie Saab and his team who surpassed all expectations during the first four years. We can only imagine what is to come, and are so honored that we will continue together on this journey,” commented Nasr.
LAU’s Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design is also in collaboration with the London College of Fashion, and is modeled on the best fashion design programs offered at leading universities in the UK and the US, and based on a rigorous four-year curriculum.
With the expertise and guidance of ELIE SAAB and the London College of Fashion, the curriculum balances theoretical and creative processes of fashion design with the technical and practical components required for success. Students are taught to become designers with a unique vision centered on their own approaches to fashion and further develop skills necessary for success including entrepreneurship and business skills.
